The weather here in Bangalore is a bit gloomy with little rain. Last month I received some products from Divisa herbal care to review and was using those products for my daily skin care from the past one month now. They have sent Roop mantra cucumber face wash and Ayurvedic cream. Roop mantra is a very popular and well-known brand when we talk about Ayurvedic and herbal skin care products. Today I will be reviewing their herbal face wash read on to know more about the face wash.

Product Claim:-

Roop Mantra Herbal Face Wash is one of the best herbal face wash that acts gently on the skin without affecting the skin texture. It effectively benefits in cleaning off oil & debris, removing make up, dirt, dead cells and other environmental pollutants. It effectively dissolves the big molecules of dirt and oil attached on the skin through micellation. Thereby, it easily rinse off the skin from debris. Roop Mantra Ayurvedic Face Wash is composed of herbal extract of cucumber.

The extract of cucumber has anti-inflammatory properties and anti itch properties. Thus, it benefits in burns, cuts and bug bites. The extract of cucumber also acts as moisture regulating agent, thus keeps skin revitalizing and hydrating (from here).

Directions for use:-

Try to use mild warm water. First pull back hairs and wet skin with plenty of water by splashing. The proper wetting of skin helps in easy formation of foam and penetration of active molecules present in the face wash. Apply a dime-sized amount of Roop Mantra herbal skin care face wash on the skin with circular motion such a way that every spots get covered with the cleanser. Keep massaging the skin in circular manner for 30-60 seconds. Exfoliate your skin by rubbing gently to remove dirt and dead skin cells. Use a facial scrub or a washcloth for rubbing (from here) 

My opinion on the product:-

Roop mantra product is available on all the leading e commerce sites and is easily available. The Roop mantra logo has Dr. Juneja’s written on its top. The face wash comes in white opaque tube with flip open cap which shuts nicely. The packaging is travel friendly is easy to use. I use it in my shower in mornings when I have no time to screw open and close the cap so flip open is very convenient for me to use.

The product is transparent, light green in color with few red beads in it. It’s consistency is gel like which is a little runny. I took some of the product in my wet palms and rubbed a little to get the lather and then applied it on my moist face with gentle circular motion. Its lathers up decently but not too much as it is a herbal based formulation. The face wash was easy to spread and little cool sensation while massaging. It has menthol which calms down skin and is known for its other properties like – deeply cleaning skin, tightening pores and restoring radiance to dull complexions.

I was able to rinse it completely with a few splash of water. The face wash did not leave any residue or slippery felling after rinsing. Then I pat dry my skin dry gently with towel and my skin felt a tad stretchy which I fixed with a little moisturizer. It does removes oil, sebum, dirt, traces of makeup and cleans skin very well without drying out my skin. I already have dry skin and weather here is cold now a days but in summers I might not feel that little dryness after using the face wash. The fragrance is not very fancy and it smelled like cucumbers. It has no floral or heavenly fragrance so can be used by both men and women. I have sensitive nose so I did not like its fragrance much but it goes after the final rinse and doesn’t stays for long.

• Removes dead skin cells and extra oil from face
• Controls sebum and prevents pimples
• Herbal key ingredients
• Easy to apply

What I didn’t Liked:-

Fragrance.

Will I repurchase and recommend:-

May be in summers, it is a budget Ayuevedic face wash and really effective in cleaning dirt, oil, and traces of makeup from skin. Its cooling sensation calms down my skin.
